Skoda Unveils Bold Electric Concept at Munich Auto Show

Skoda Automobile has unveiled its first bold electric concept, the Octavia EV, set to debut at the upcoming Munich auto show in September. The concept boasts a fresh and innovative design language, while showcasing the latest technological advancements.

The Octavia EV is designed to embody the Skoda brand's heritage, with characteristic shield-like front grille and stylish "J" type headlights on either side. A distinctive Skoda logo adorns the front of the vehicle, adding an air of modernity. Additionally, a striking Skoda solid aesthetic design language for the interior can be seen.

According to official statements, two more electric models are slated for Skoda's lineup: the Epiq and Vision 7S. The Epiq should debut in 2026 as Skoda's successor to the current Kamiq model. The car will be produced on the same platform as the Volkswagen ID.2 all, expected to arrive in European markets by 2025 and priced at approximately €25,000 (RMB 19.6 million). The design features an all-new Skoda solid Modern Solid aesthetic, along with prominent illuminated brand logo and LED strip frontlights.

The rear aspect of both cars has the same design layout as that of the front aspect, integrating distinct elements such as Skoda branding on the D-bar section.

On the other hand, Skoda Vision 7S has already been unveiled prior to its scheduled 2026 launch. Its innovative solid Modern Solid aesthetic sets it apart with striking "T" shaped headlights and sweeping lines from the front of the vehicle showcasing robust shielding. The interior boasts the same bold aesthetic applied at the exterior and is further enhanced by latest operational features. In terms of capabilities, Skoda Vision 7S carries an 89kWh battery pack which offers over 600 km on WLTP cycle, paired with a maximum quick charging rate up to 200 kW.
