New AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Launches on January 6th
The wait is over for car enthusiasts, as the latest addition to Mercedes-AMG's lineup, the all-new AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE, is set to debut on January 6th.
Standing out from its peers as the high-performance variant of the entire range, this machine promises heart-pumping speed with a launch time of just 2.8 seconds from 0-100 km/h and top speeds reaching an incredible 320 km/h.
When it comes to design, the new car's lower rear section has been revamped for improved aerodynamics, with active air control components that extend downward by approximately 40 millimeters at speeds above 80 km/h. This clever use of Venturi effect ensures a closer grip on the road surface, enhancing stability and reducing negative front axle lift.
In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4719 mm in length, 1984 mm in width, and 1354 mm in height.
Inside, the cabin's design features family-esque elements reminiscent of Mercedes-AMG SL models. Key to its character is the prominent dashboard shape, complemented by a steering wheel sporting AMG's now-familiar triple-spoke design for a power-packed aesthetic.
Under the hood, the all-new GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE combines a potent 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric rear-axle drive in a hybrid setup, boasting total system output of 816 horsepower and peak torque of 1420 Nm. Supporting these impressive specs is the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system for lightning-fast acceleration to reach just 100 km/h from a standstill in under two seconds, with top speeds capped at an electrifying 320 km/h
