Subaru Unveils Trailseeker at 2025 New York Auto Show

Subaru unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Trailseeker, at the 2025 New York Auto Show. The trailblazing model marks the brand's second pure-electric offering and boasts an impressive array of performance-enhancing features.

The exterior design of the Trailseeker has undergone significant changes from its predecessor, adopting a more mature and dynamic stance. The unmistakable six-bar hexagonal grille has been replaced by a sleek, rectangular shutter closure above, which is connected to larger headlights via a black trim element. The foglight area receives an identical black trim treatment, giving the vehicle a bold and unconventional design.

The Trailseeker's profile exhibits similarities with Subaru's SOLTERRA, although its dimensions are slightly more substantial, evoking memories of the imposing Subaru Tigra. Rearward, the vehicle is equipped with undercarriage-mounted illumination and a stylized brand badge that shines bright upon activation.

Upon entering, the cabin showcases Subaru's signature family-oriented design aesthetic reminiscent of the SOLTERRA (local market name: LYNX) with suspended central screen accompaniment along with liquid crystal console. The steering wheel boasts multiple physical buttons, augmented by integrated mobile charging through a detachable adapter while further featuring rotary switch for gear selection.

Subaru has promised that Trailseeker's onboard features come with the power to deliver an unmatched driving experience. Equipped with all-wheel-drive four-wheel-drive system and holding up an impressive 375 horsepower maximum output, the electric vehicle achieves 0-96 km/hr in under 4 seconds. Though Subaru did not announce exact range of its battery pack yet, it will be crucial for consumer acceptance.
