Winter Test of New Energy Vehicles Underway
Date: December, 2024
A week ago, the latest edition of Car Home's (a popular Chinese automotive website) Winter Test Series for New Energy Vehicles officially kicked off. This annual event focuses on testing various new energy vehicles under harsh winter conditions. This year, we are conducting a head-to-head comparison test across two contrasting climate zones - the京津冀 region with an average temperature of 10°C and the呼伦贝尔 region with an average temperature of -15°C.
By comparing real-world data from these two regions, including续航里程 (range),续航达成率 (charge-to-discharge ratio),低温能耗 (cold-weather energy consumption), and低温充电速度 (cold-weather fast-charging speed), we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of how new energy vehicle manufacturers perform in various low-temperature environments.
The results from the 京津冀 region have now been officially published. Let's take a look at how some of this year's top-selling new energy vehicles fared in this cold climate!
This winter test includes over 50 new energy vehicle models from leading manufacturers, featuring popular and highly sought-after cars grouped into categories priced between ¥10,000 and ¥500,000. These categories include pure electric vehicles with a price tag of under ¥10,000, high-end MPVs priced above ¥30 million, high-performance SUVs priced in the range of ¥50 million.
Some of the 2024 new energy vehicle models that will be participating in our test include小米SU7 (Xiaomi),極气7X (Extreme E),享界S9 (Enjoy),问界M9 (Question 9),智界R7 (Zhi Ji R7),乐道L60,方程豹豹8 (Equation Jaguar), and more.
Next month, on December 1st, we will be launching a live test broadcast from the呼伦贝尔 region. How might these top new energy vehicles perform in this exceptionally cold and challenging environment?
