New Chevrolet Blazer Saito L9 to Debut on March 31 with Pre-Sale
A new mid-size SUV, the sixth-generation Chevrolet Blazer Saito L9, is set to go on sale in China starting with a pre-sale period beginning on March 31. The vehicle will offer a range of configurations including five, six and seven seating arrangements, while continuing to offer lifetime maintenance services.
Exterior Design
The new Blazer has received a significant upgrade in terms of its exterior design. Gone are the days of chrome-plated frame nets; instead, the vehicle now features an enclosed front fascia. The design boasts a more eco-friendly aesthetic, characteristic of newer energy vehicles. The LED daytime running lights atop feature a grid-like design, while the proximity and distant lights feature a single combined light.
The frontal aspect has been transformed by moving the chrome-plated components inside and introducing sleek, dynamic elements. The LED day-night driving lights above the headlights provide more comprehensive illumination, particularly in low-light conditions. Furthermore, it can be noted that the air inlet grille runs across the front bumper, while both sides showcase two silver "fang-like" parts for enhanced dynamism.
Side Profile
The Blazer's side profile has undergone an update with new multi-spoke wheels and a more dynamic rear end. To achieve this look, a sporty design aesthetic was adopted. A 2850mm wheelbase length is achieved by incorporating these fresh updates to the vehicle's styling.
Interior Design
An updated interior was implemented as part of these exterior upgrades. The dashboard has undergone a makeover with a change from traditional side grips to "guard" grips for improved comfort. In addition, central channel buttons have been added in place of controls, used primarily for air conditioning settings among others.
The rest of the interior design remains consistent with previous models, making room for all the new features introduced this time around without disrupting existing ergonomics and functionality.
Seat Arrangement
With six seating arrangements available, the Blazer is designed to be versatile to cater to different driving needs as well as passenger requirements. In addition to providing ample space and style, comfort has also been considered when seats are chosen on this vehicle. Seat cushioning features advanced technologies for optimal enjoyment in both short journeys and longer stays.
Powertrain
The Chevrolet Blazer is equipped with the 1.5T plug-in hybrid system that combines fuel efficiency and performance capabilities. In addition to providing enough power, it can achieve a top speed of up to 225 km/h while offering peak torque of 220 N·m.
For enhanced efficiency during electric driving sections, the vehicle comes equipped with two motor units providing total outputs of 427 horsepower, along with an optional dual-clutch transmission for improved driver efficiency in long road trips. The Chevrolet Blazer also provides a reliable backup system.
