BYD Unveils China-Specific Models for Chinese Market
Beijin, China - China's leading electric vehicle manufacturer, Beijin (BYD), recently released an official preview of three highly anticipated models: the SongPlus DM-i Intelligence Drive Edition, the Haiyan05 DM-i Intelligence Drive Edition, and the Haiyan06 DM-i Intelligence Drive Edition. The preview teaser demonstrates that these upcoming models will officially hit the market on February 10th.
While the exact specifications have not been revealed yet, sources close to BYD suggest that multiple intelligence drive vehicles will make their debut alongside the mentioned models on February 10th, featuring advanced functionalities such as high-speed driving and new blue-tinted tail lights.
According to official teasers, SongPlus DM-i Intelligence Drive Edition and Haiyan06 DM-i Intelligence Drive Edition maintain the existing vehicle design in terms of exterior and interior appearance. Taking into consideration recent announcements, it appears that this generation places more emphasis on increased three-mirror cameras and its accompanying hardware upgrades. Furthermore, these cars will be equipped with pure visual intelligence driving systems employing an NVIDIA Orion N chip at 84 TOPS, providing twelve onboard cameras throughout the vehicle.
In contrast, Haiyan05 DM-i is a compact car type; previously unveiled by the company, it was announced that its official selling price ranged between CNY8.98-10.98 thousand. These cars are mounted with fifth-generation DM technology, as well as 1.5L plug-hybrid systems. By equipping this setup, Haiyan05 becomes capable of reaching an output of up to 101 horsepower and a corresponding electric power of 163 horsepower.
Both models featured at the teaser will be available in the said smart driving version. Moreover, inside direction wheels, drivers can now adjust their displays. This teaser reveals these cars' advanced features, including rapid lane changes and advanced parking capabilities during high-speed drives. Furthermore, sources suggest BYD's latest advanced plan will be released by that day.
These news teasers hint at an exciting time for car fans in China as Beijin officially announces the arrival of their intelligence drive lineup later this month.
