Unleash Your Wild Side: Rare Charger Daytona '23 Teaser Unveils Stunning Fratzog Logo

Dodge Unveils New Charger Daytona Version with Retro-Futuristic Design and Enhanced Performance

A new version of the highly anticipated Charger Daytona has been unveiled by Dodge, featuring a bold and retro-futuristic design. The updated model boasts striking black-on-black color scheme paired with prominent red stripes, accompanied by an unmistakable "Fratzog" logo. Its exact origin dates back to the 1960s when Chrysler first used it as part of their branding.

The "Fratzog" badge is a triangular emblem consisting of three outstretched arrows that form a geometric triangle shape. Initially applied to numerous Dodge models between 1962 and 1976, such as the Polara 500, Charger, Monaco, and Dart lineups. These models would often display this distinctive emblem on the front grille, center console, or wheel hub, symbolizing Chrysler’s golden era.

Now, let's dive into the performance aspect of the new Daytona:

The standard trim will ride on the STLA Large platform, capable of accommodating multiple powertrains - from pure electric to gasoline and plug-in hybrid configurations. With an estimated battery capacity between 85 kWh and 118 kWh, some variants can achieve a range of over 805 kilometers on a single charge.

For those favoring combustion engines, there are two options available in the form of 3.0L V6-powered hybrids. One with a maximum power output of 426 horsepower and another boasting a more impressive 548 horsepower.

In addition to these engine choices, pure-electric variants boast an arsenal of thrallling options as well - including a single front-wheel drive motor putting out 408 horsepower, a dual-motor setup delivering 680 horsepower in four-wheel drive guise, and the most potent version running with two motors producing 897 horsepower, coupled with an advanced high-voltage system known to accelerate the car from 0-96 km/h at a blistering pace under two seconds.

The new Charger Daytona is set to make an official appearance at the upcoming Spring Fest in Southern California.
