Geely Kizashi A9 Review: A Stylish and Efficient Compact SUV
The latest issue of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (工信部) has released a list of approved vehicle models. Among them was the Geely Kizashi A9, positioned as a compact SUV with a 1.5T plugin hybrid powertrain.
Exterior Design
The exterior of the new car is distinguished by its closed front grille, paired with narrow but long-side LED lights that give it a modern look. The lower front section features large air intakes in conjunction with silver accents, while both sides feature sleek air intake ducts with silver trim, which enhance the overall sportsy feel.
When looking at the rear of the car, it boasts a popular trend of cross-link headlights accompanied by multiple LED light sources that give off an unmistakable tech-savvy impression. The new car also has dark-tint heat-blocking screens wrapped tightly around, combined with metallic details that further enrich its visual layers.
Dimensions
The Geely Kizashi A9 is a compact SUV that extends 5018/1965/1500mm in width, length, and height respectively. With an overall wheelbase of 3000mm, this new SUV exudes confidence both on the road and off it.
Powertrain
Under its hood is a powerful 1.5T plugin hybrid engine, which boasts an output of up to 115 kW combined with batteries provided by phosphoric iron boron batteries and a transmission system that links 150 kW motors that is specially tailored for special speed ratios. Specifically geared towards short-range transportation, using 1-speed DHT mixed transmission gearboxes coupled with advanced four-wheel drive systems. Noteworthy here are the estimated cruising ranges of up to 300+ kilometres through CLTC alone as well as an integrated range of up to 1500+km.
