Former Extreme E Driver Xu Jie Yuan Quits After Scandal
Extreme E publicist Xu Jie Yuan has confirmed that he has left the company, stating that he is relieved after recent events.
Xu Jie Yuan said, "After the company's collapse, I immediately comforted our PR team and media supplies teams while everyone was trying to understand the situation and maybe been denied their salary. There wasn't a single colleague in the big group who posted harsh comments during this time period. In my friend circle and our crisis response group set up with two shareholders, I was always the first one to post positive voices that accelerate communication and solve problems at all times. Our colleagues from other units are highly respected and appreciated me for it, which is one of my most proud moments in Extreme E before leaving."
Earlier, Extreme E sent an email titled "Employee Misconduct Inquiry Report". The report claimed that Xu Jie Yuan has conducted not only to maintain the company's image but instead spread separation among employees on December 19th while he was helping to come up with a compensated recovery plan for him. This has caused huge damages to employee emotions and team solidarity, which is clearly in conflict with "the altruism" enterprise culture principles.
Following this, Extreme E decided to cut Xu Jie Yuan's labor contract alone based on the company handbook and warned him.
Responding to his social media post later, Xu Zhi yuan confessed, “I did not receive any call from anyone before sending that email. The situation at the company is really out of control, so there might be people impersonating me spreading false information online. I tried contacting HR and Summer Yan, but none of them answered my calls. That's why this happened.”
