October Sales Numbers Show 42.1% Growth for Geely Global, with Increased Focus on Electric Vehicles
Geely Corporation has reported October sales figures that see a significant growth in global sales, with shipments reaching 179,000 vehicles, up by 42.1% compared to the same period last year.
Looking at the broader picture, total sales for the first ten months of the year have reached 1,221,000 units, with a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year. The company's electric vehicle sales have seen substantial growth as well, with 575,000 units, an increase of 60.6% over the same period last year.
Exports also saw a notable rise, with 184,000 vehicles being shipped out, up by 8.4%. Meanwhile, domestic sales reached 103.7 million units, a 6.4% increase from the previous year.
Breaking it down further, some of Geely's bestselling models this month include:
- Hong Guang MINIEV: 42,165 units sold
- Wuling Honey (五菱缤果): 34,306 units sold
- Star (五菱星光): 5,586 units sold
- Star S (五菱星光S): 7,900 units sold
- Roewe Automobile: 6,646 units sold
Geely Global Headquarters' Brand and Marketing Director, Wang Jie, expressed confidence in the company's sales performance in October. The brand predicted that November may have set a single-day high for the year, indicating a promising start to the fourth quarter.
