2024 Modern Creta Electric Variant Launched with Official Images, India Launch Expected for January 17

The all-electric version of the modern Creta has been officially released in Indonesia. This variant is scheduled to make its global debut at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo, which opens on January 17.

A noteworthy mention regarding the launch is that a fuel-borne version of Modern Creta has been launched for the Indian market in December 2024. However, there are no clear hints as yet about whether this pure-electric variant will succeed to attract unexpected sales demand from an untapped Indian market.

The all-electric Model Creta falls under the compact SUV segment and corresponds to the Modern ix25 model in its domestic-market offerings. The released official pictures of the pure-electric variant continue design cues of fuel-based counterparts, mostly excepting for a specially modified front fascia that incorporates sealed grille designs that incorporate charging points.

The all-new vehicle modifications have seen it adopt distinctive wheel coverings measuring 17 inches with reduced drag resistance and new bumpers, complemented by additional storage containers inside the trunk.

Regrettably, Modern hasn’t released official specifications of its power output. When asked to share further details on how fast the car can go from standstill to 100km/h, officials only said the full acceleration was expected in under seven seconds and will utilize single-motor driven frontwheel system.

Modern states that the electric battery comes in both sizes - 42 kWh & 51.4kWh. Depending upon battery size, model offers range of approximately 390 km & 475 km respectively.
