Unlock Your Car's Full Potential: 5 New Features & Upgrade Coming Nov 4th

China to Roll Out OTA Updates for Volkswagen Cars with Enhanced Features

A series of over-the-air (OTA) updates is scheduled to begin on November 4th, with the rollout expected to be completed within approximately 10 days.

The updates, which will be rolled out simultaneously across various Volkswagen models, include a range of new features aimed at improving user experience. Among the most significant enhancements are:

  • Customizable Infotainment Bar: Users can now customize their infotainment bar by long-pressing on individual icons and repositioning them to create a more personalized dashboard.
  • Health Charging: This feature allows the system to automatically adjust charging limits for specific battery health, ensuring that the vehicle's battery is properly maintained.
  • OTA Updates without Notifications: Users will no longer receive notifications for OTA updates, which eliminates distractions while driving. However, the vehicle's software will still be updated in the background.
  • Frozen Engine Shut-Off Optimization (Front Excludes Frost): The frozen engine shut-off feature has been optimized to function more efficiently on vehicles equipped with this feature.

In relation to electric vehicle charging and efficiency, Volkswagen is focusing on improving its users experience using smart charging.
