Chinese Automaker GI Automobile Reports Record-breaking Sales for February 2025
Chinese automaker GI Automobile has announced its sales figures for February 2025, revealing a remarkable performance with increased sales across various brands and series.
A total of 204,910 vehicles were sold in February 2025, representing an impressive year-on-year growth of approximately 84% compared to the same period last year. This marks the sixth consecutive month where GI Automobile's monthly sales have surpassed 20,000 units.
In terms of new energy vehicles (NEVs), GI Automobile reported 98,433 units sold in February 2025, with a significant gain of about 194% over the same period last year. NEV sales now account for over 48% of the company's total sales. The automaker also saw significant growth in its overseas export sales, with 24,520 vehicles shipped in February.
In the GI Automobile brand portfolio, the Silver Sea series accounted for 76,132 units sold during the month, representing a remarkable increase of about 288%. Meanwhile, China Star models generated 44,702 units, up by about 83% compared to last year's figure.
Another key contributor to GI Automobile's sales growth was the Lechi brand, which recorded 17,238 vehicles sold in February 2025. The brand reported a growth rate of over 30%. In terms of new energy vehicles, Lechi saw an increase in its sales, with NEV models accounting for about 48% of the total.
Finally, Ge Li brands delivered 14,039 vehicles in February 2025, marking an increase of about 18% compared to last month and a year-on-year growth rate of around 187%.
