Hyundai Unveils Modern IONIQ 9 in Official Preview Images
Hyundai has officially released preview images of its upcoming modern IONIQ 9, a seven-seater fully electric SUV. The vehicle is based on the same E-GMP platform as the Kia EV9 and is expected to arrive at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November before going into production early next year.
The exterior design of the IONIQ 9 is consistent with the IONIQ SEVEN concept car, featuring a streamlined and angular aesthetic. The preview images reveal detailed design elements, including a four-unit LED light arrangement and pixel-like LED light sources inside.
When viewed from the side, the vehicle boasts a strong wing-like profile, accompanied by massive-sized wheels that align with its flagship status. In contrast to the IONIQ SEVEN concept car's curved and rounded front-end design language, the modern IONIQ 9 features a cleaner and more rectangular look, enhanced by an angular LED arrangement.
The side panels showcase a sturdy character line both visually and in terms of shape stability, while maintaining an arched silhouette at the rear for a fuller appearance. The vehicle also exhibits simple LED tail-lamp design that conveys high-tech qualities.
A notable feature is its smart power tailgate opening, allowing users greater convenience when entering or exiting the cabin.
Power Delivery
The upcoming modern IONIQ 9 features two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions with projected horsepower values of 200/400 pounds force respectively. Corresponding torque outputs are 339/651 pound-feet, alongside an estimated range in kilometers between 354-467.
