New M5 Ultra SUV Enters Pre-Sale, With Starting Price of $228,800
The Chinese automaker has begun accepting pre-orders for the new M5 Ultra SUV, which marks an upgrade to its exterior design and driving features. The starting price is set at $228,800, with a down payment of $2,000 that can be redeemed for a rebate of up to $4,500.
Design-wise, the M5 Ultra boasts two newly added color schemes: Frozen White and Shadow Purple, giving it a younger and more edgy look. While retaining most of its existing features, the new SUV sees updates to its exterior styling, with redesigned headlights and fog lights that add a hint of aggression.
On the driving front, the M5 Ultra now comes equipped with improved safety features, including 192-line laser radar + 4D millimeter-wave radar. This is complemented by enhanced comfort and traction systems designed for smoother acceleration and handling. Furthermore, the vehicle's safety capabilities have been upgraded to support both single-wheeled skidding maneuvers under emergency braking.
Inside, new details on cabin decor are announced: family-oriented trim options adorned with colors like Ruby Brew Tea, alongside spacious storage compartments, and specially designed footrests in the secondary seats. The dashboard now boasts improved ambient lighting and a modern arrangement of its instrument panel components.
With respect to powertrains, both gasoline-electric hybrid systems are available for configuration - each featuring a revised powertrain that has higher output levels in comparison to their predecessors: either boosting 1.5T diesel engines for petrol or 360 kw electric drive units on the range-topping pure electro- variant - delivering up all-new speed records, enhanced acceleration performance and significantly improved real-world efficiency.
The M5 Ultra's specs offer a compelling package that will be crucial in defining its competitive advantage once it is formally released into production next year.
