New EQ Fox Arrives with Advanced Features and Enhanced Off-Road Capability

Beijing, China - In a recent announcement by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China's EQ Fox SUV, dubbed "EQQ5", unveiled its new trim-level, boasting enhanced features and off-road capabilities.

Compared to its existing variants, the new EQQ5 comes with additional items such as laser radar, dual-screen setup, and unmanned storage, which enhances outdoor adventure travel scenarios. The recommended price range for the EQQ5 is between 23.98-30.28 thousand yuan.

The EQQ5's exterior design remains largely faithful to its existing sibling, featuring a neat, three-dimensional line-up that gives off an impression of solidity and strength. A distinctive touch on this new trim-level is the installation of unmanned drone storage on both sides, giving it a unique visual appearance compared to its predecessor.

Specifications-wise, the EQQ5 boasts dimensions of 4890/1970/2015mm in length, width, and height respectively, accompanied by an axle track of 2,800mm. The vehicle is classified as a mid-size SUV and comes with two types of tires: 265/65R18 and 275/55R20.

When configuring the rear spare tire kit, it accommodates a variety of lengths depending on the chosen tire size.

Its unique feature lies in its high-degree of capability for navigating off-road terrain. With the ability to lean at an angle of nearly 35 degrees when fully loaded and 17 degrees when equipped with towage system, this makes the vehicle suitable for both urban commuters and those venturing into challenging terrains.

Underpowered by a 1.5-liter engine coupled with dual-front and rearend electric drives providing four-wheel capabilities, it has the maximum motor power reaching up to 200kW and 285kW in its front and rear respectively. A key point is that it has the net output of 135kW.
