China's Pioneering Carrier Gets First Order: How its 5-Minute Autonomous Capabilities Could Change the Game

China's Small Panda Unveils its First Commercial Flying Car, The "Land Ocean" Model, Set to Enter Mass Production by 2026

In a recent statement, Wang Feng, CEO of Small Panda, announced plans for the company's upcoming commercial flying car product, dubbed "Land Ocean". The vehicle will be made entirely in China and globally, marking the first mass-produced flying cars capable of delivery. The Land Ocean model boasts advanced technologies that seamlessly integrate automotive control with artificial intelligence-enabled flight systems.

Prior to this announcement, Small Panda had secured significant orders from high-end carriers, including Haiqi Airlines and Fengcheng Airlines, totaling 3 billion yuan. The company plans to establish a "safe fly, free fly, thrill fly" experience for flying car users within the province of Zhejiang by delivery date in 2026. Zhao Dele, founder of Small Panda, revealed that the corporation's development strategy is divided into three phases: outdoor flights, inter-city cross-town flights, and mass public flying.

Characterized by its aerodynamic design featuring 3-axle and 6-wheel structure with dimensions of 5,500x2,000mm, the Land Ocean model price tag will not exceed 200,000 Yuan. Its vehicle configuration features seating for four passengers and drives on its six wheels via CLTC 800V power platform. The capacity extends up to over 1,000 km under continuous flight.

The flying component located behind the car accommodates additional storage space that can be charged while stored within the vehicle's body for easy refueling when needed by taking only 18 minutes within 30-80% capacity range, supporting five to six subsequent flights.

The engine employs a novel carbon-silicon-based powertrain and is equipped with four spiral propellers. Modeled after unmanned aircraft, its structure enables comfortable accommodation of two passengers inside the cockpit. Its operational ease was showcased by Wang Feng as being 5 minutes long.
