Chery Group Posts Strong Sales Data for 2025
January Vehicle Sales See Double-Digit Growth
Chery Group has released its first sales data of 2025, indicating a strong start to the year with total vehicle sales reaching 224,323 units in January alone. This marks a significant year-over-year growth of 10.3%, exceeding industry expectations.
Among the group's automotive divisions, Chery's total sales have increased by 11% to 221,834 vehicles, while New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales have surged an impressive 172.1% to reach 56,901 units.
In terms of brand performance, January saw significant sales for each of the group's key brands:
- Chery: Sold 129,553 units, the highest among all brands
- Sterling: Recorded 5,804 sales
- Chevrolet (Chery's international division): Sold 56,162 units
- iCAR: Achieved 7,853 unit sales
- KUMU (formerly Karry): Sold 13,000 units
Notably, January 22 marked the launch of Chery's new luxury electric SUV model series, Chevrontrek, which has set the stage for the company's 2025 ambition to achieve a growth rate surpassing industry averages by 10-20%.
