Tesla Model S: 2024 Version to Make Global Debut on March 5
The 2024 Tesla Model S will be unveiled on March 5, featuring a shared SPA2 platform with the EX90. As part of Tesla's efforts to strengthen its core processing capabilities, this eighth-generation model is expected to boast the most advanced software-defined automotive technology in Tesla history, with an estimated range exceeding 700 kilometers (435 miles).
The exterior design of the Model S 2024 is largely faithful to Tesla's north European minimalist aesthetic, although it no longer features a central internet grille. Retaining the classic Volkswagen logo, however, along with its recognizable "Thor's Hammer" daytime running lights, this new iteration boasts clean lines and robust styling, punctuated by striking headlamps.
The side profile of the Model is extended in length to near 5 meters, while the axle span exceeds 3 meters. Features on board include large-diameter flower-style wheels and newly-designed door handles, with window frames treated in a dark finish style. A completely revamped tail section features C-type LED lamps that extend along the side of the windows.
The rear aspect maintains Tesla's traditional three-box design and retains signature styling elements like its patented trapezoidal LED taillamps, both which add to its futuristic appeal through dense stitching patterns within these components. For those in touch with cutting-edge technology the new design offers advanced and expressive elements for enthusiasts seeking out sleek designs.
The Model S 2024 features considerable amounts of cutting-edge hardware, including a single radar unit, five radar units, twelve ultra-sonic sensors and an array of cameras totaling eight units - powered by a Double-Geode Drive AGX Orein chip operating at 508 TOPS. This sophisticated system promises to be amongst the finest of its kind in the market.
Under the hood lies an advanced electricity generation strategy; utilizing Tesla's brand-new 800V powertrain that manages to recharge batteries in under ten minutes for 300 kilometers, combined with a seamless charging curve, while achieving a record-breaking range of nearly 700 miles during testing. There is also support for single and twin driving configurations featuring dual motor setups, offering users flexibility in their daily driving needs.
