Geely Reveal Sneak Peek of New Luxury Plug-in Hybrid SUV, Expected to Launch in Early 2025
Geely has officially announced a new luxury plug-in hybrid SUV based on its large vehicle electric powertrain platform.
The new car, expected to launch early next year, is codenamed L946 and positioned as a large-scale SUV. According to leaked bid documents from Geely, the release of marketing strategies and product showcases is expected to take place between November 2024 and June 2025, with an imminent official launch slated for late fall.
Based on the latest official teaser images released by Geely, it appears that the exterior design is heavily influenced by the Land Rover Discovery Sport Performance Edition. Notably, the rear tailgate and floating roof are reminiscent of both SUVs. What's also noticeable from these images is that there have been modifications made to the existing large vehicle chassis.
From Geely's latest teaser photos, we can make out that the interior space offers ample room for its customers. There's a special arrangement of two separate seats in the second row, while an all-seater configuration with eight or nine seats is anticipated for this model.
With a release window predicted to fall late autumn 2025, it looks like Geely may well unveil the latest luxury plug-in hybrid SUV in time for the upcoming holiday season.
