China's Byd Unveils New QinL EV with Advanced Features
Beijing, March 12 -- Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD has confirmed that its latest QinL EV model will hit the shelves on March 23. Based on the ePlatform 3.0 Evo, the new mid-size sedan comes equipped with the DiPilot 100 advanced driver-assistance system and boasts a range of up to 545 kilometers.
Available for as low as 1,498 yuan (approximately 220 USD), the QinL EV features an impressive set of exterior design elements, including the distinctive Long Face Dragon-esque front grille, sleek side profile, and LED tail lights. Notably, the new sedan will also come with a spacious 65-liter cargo compartment, further enhancing its practicality.
Further details on the vehicle's interior can be found under the hood – or rather, in the rear seats of the Qilin Eagle, as the cabin is adorned in the same style as the dragon motif above. Behind the wheel, drivers will enjoy an array of modern touches, including 8.8-inch liquid crystal instrument cluster and a range of digital displays.
In terms of safety features, the QinL EV comes equipped with DiPilot 100's suite of advanced sensors, enabling advanced pedestrian detection, multi-directional windshield wipers, parking, lane departure warnings, night vision and auto emergency braking.
Underneath its sleek exterior lies an agile powertrain boasting two variants of electric motors – a maximum output rating of 110 kW and the other 160 kW. The electric motors are set over the rear axle using a longitudinally-mounted, rear-wheel drive (RW) drivetrain system.
