Nissan Reports Record-Breaking Spring Festival Travel Numbers
February 7 -- Nissan announced today that it has officially released its 2025 spring festival travel report, showcasing a significant increase in overall travel distance and battery-swapping services during the festive period.
According to the data, a total of 6.2 billion kilometers were traveled by Nissan users during the spring festival, exceeding previous records. The country saw over 3,100 exchange stations provide more than 171.6 million swap services for users, a year-on-year increase of 44%. For each of the 12 consecutive days, the number of battery-swapped vehicles broke through 10,000 times, with peak numbers reaching 13.6 million on two occasions.
Several user groups traveled extensively across the country during the spring festival to visit popular and picturesque destinations. On average, a Nissan model traveling over 500km alone reached 78,204 units, while an impressive 1,888 models reached the milestone of traveling more than 5,000km.
The report highlights that battery swapping remained the preferred recharge method for many users during the spring festival. A significant proportion - up to 83.2% - of electric vehicle charging came from battery swap services. Prior to the spring festival season, Nissan had already established its fast-charging network covering nine major cities across the country. The company continued to expand this network and also carried out massive infrastructure upgrades earlier in the year.
Key statistics, according to the report:
- 624,872,468 km of traveling distance was covered by Nissan users.
- The top three locations visited during Spring Festival were Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Shandong Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
