Electric Avenue Brings the Heat: Avita 12 Super Test Report
In a series of tests that pushed the limits of electric vehicles, Electric Avenue's latest super test showcased the Avita 12 in two extreme winter scenarios - the Low Temperature Zone (LTV) and the Extremely Low Temperature Zone (ELTV). The results demonstrated the car's remarkable ability to withstand freezing temperatures while providing a comfortable driving experience.
In the first scenario, LTV, the Avita 12 completed a 150km journey through China's northeastern region, testing its endurance in double-city runs on both high-speed highways and local roads. With a battery capacity of 39.05kWh, the car achieved an impressive WLTC pure electric range of 201km, with a fuel-efficient consumption rate of 5.8L/100km during the Feed Electric test.
Fuel efficiency wasn't the only metric that impressed, however. The Avita 12 also demonstrated seamless recharge capabilities, achieving full charging in under an hour, while maintaining its comfort features throughout the test.
During the next stage, ELTV, the car tackled a grueling 221km journey from Beijing to Tianjin, again with remarkable performance and resilience. Despite plummeting temperatures between 5°C and -15°C, the Avita 12 not only reached its full range but also demonstrated impressive Feed Electric consumption, reaching just 4.45L/100km.
Both tests were conducted during winter conditions, which pushed the vehicle's insulation capabilities to the limit to keep drivers comfortable throughout. Air conditioning temperatures stayed within an optimal 19°C, while temperatures rose by approximately 35oF over a 2-hour static period, reflecting well on the Avita 12’s resilience under extreme thermal conditions.
The car was praised for its performance metrics, making it clear why Electric vehicles will become more popular in colder climates.
