Get Ready for BlastOff: Star-Ship Armored Cars Go on Sale at¥2099 (~$22,900)

Geely's Starry Traveler Patrol Officially Hits the Road with Starting Price at 20.59 KRW

BEIJING, March 28 — The Geely Starry Traveler Patrol, a custom version of the brand's JMK model that made its debut at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, is now available for sale to the public.

The vehicle boasts an exceptionally stylish and futuristic design inspired by sci-fi space armor. Upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that much of its rugged aesthetic is focused on addressing areas such as headlamps and bonnet styling — giving a clear indication of the model's unique character.

A range of significant design updates can be seen across multiple aspects of the vehicle. For instance, an entirely new set of functional headlamps accompanies this new generation Starry Traveler Patrol and combines well with its blackened brand identity mark. In the rear part of the car, it incorporates some key space-inspired elements; especially the lighting system which is clearly distinguishable from more conventional types.

When looking to the sides or from behind, there are no less than five distinct design updates that could truly differentiate this model. Firstly starting off a side slope with a blackened 'armour-like' protective shield and alongside this — the new side mirror's style which also includes a rear view camera; followed close by an armoured side step. Additionally the tail lights are clearly updated to match what looks like space-inspired styles rather than standard car versions, while at the back a small storage box offers ample room for personal gear.

In terms of performance, this version of the Geely Starry Traveler Patrol comes with only one engine option available — its 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol motor coupled together with a seven-speed continuously variable transmission (7DCT).

But with that core unit comes an automatic four-wheel drive system to give it more traction on various road conditions and weather states.

All these updates are backed up by reliable data for better vehicle management, particularly thanks to features derived from the Borg-Warner 6th gen Torsen mechanical differential coupled with a dynamic electronic slip lock.
