Volvo Launches Electric XC90 Successor, Volvo EX90
The latest addition to China's vehicle directory is the Volvo EX90, a fully electric SUV based on the SPA2 platform. As its name suggests, it is the successor to the popular hybrid version of the XC90.
The upcoming Volvo EX90 will feature a dual-motor all-electric powertrain and a choice of four-seat and six-seat configuration.
Design
The exterior design of the Volvo EX90 sports an all-new electric vehicle aesthetic, incorporating features such as a closed-in front grille, glowing logos, and a new headlight unit. The front bumper also features an actuated bonnet to improve airflow while improving aerodynamics with active spoilers around the side of the car.
Dimensions are 5037/1964/1742 mm (1747 mm) for length/width/highness respectively, with an overhang of 2985 mm, while high-intensity LED headlights are included. The equipment list includes features like a laser radar unit, 16 sonar units, eight cameras, five lidar sensors and a state-of-the-art Orin chip.
Power
The Volvo EX90 will be powered by a dual-electric motor with both high and low output variants available on offer with maximum power figures of 180kW for the front and rear units.
