Xiaomi Expands Its Presence in the Automotive Industry with Cutting-Edge Technology
Xiaomi has announced its plans to explore intelligent basement technology, a futuristic concept that leverages advanced automation and sensing tools to revolutionize the automotive experience. The key technologies unveiled include the Xiaomi Smart Basement Research Program, which encompasses cutting-edge components including all-around active suspension systems, super-four electric motors, 48V line control drive, and 48V line controlled steering.
Innovative All-Around Active Suspension System
Xiaomi's full-time dynamic suspension system operates independently of the vehicle's movement, leveraging the energy source to regulate each wheel individually. The suspension enables precise control over the car's body stance and can achieve similar handling to motorcycles at speeds that would normally be impossible on a traditional wheeled vehicle.
The technology is further enhanced by an integrated power unit and 4.6 kW per side of dynamic sources on each axle, allowing incredible levels of efficiency. Xiaomi has successfully reduced road irregularities with its dynamic suspension system.
Super-Four Electric Motor System
Xiaomi's super-four electric motor system comes equipped with two freshly developed front motors along the V8 rear units. Maxing 2054 horsepower at its peak and reaching max torque of 380 N·m, this four-wheel drive motor offers more than just numbers in its capabilities.
The main novelty here is that Xiaomi has successfully implemented true independent driving for each wheel. The original "4-speed" system was replaced by independent front-and-rear power distribution, enabling much more agility during maneuvers that would otherwise include the ability to easily change direction or maneuver through very narrow turns while turning at an entirely slower speed than before.
48V Full-Spectrum Electric Drive System
By adopting a more efficient electric drive signal in place of complex mechanical control systems, Xiaomi has significantly broadened its range with its latest technologies and improvements. While benefiting the car's bottom-end, users now enjoy increased efficiency for appliances like refrigerations that previously only required single-phase power.
This upgrade brings along numerous benefits to users; as an example, electric motors can operate at much higher speeds and perform better when used in their optimal operating frequency in their respective usage profiles to reach greater efficiency.
