Red Flag Tengyou 08 to Debut on January 7, Priced at $2,398

Red Flag's new electric SUV, the Tengyou 8, is set to hit the market on January 7, promising an impressive lineup of features and specs in the Chinese automotive sector.

Positioning itself as a mid-size pure-electric SUV, the Tengyou 08 boasts a CLTC (Charging Limit Temperature Control) range of 520 kilometers, paving its way for urban living. The sales price was officially reported to be equivalent to $2,398.

The company’s focus on integrating resources, the new vehicle will use the Red Flag's modularized platform, which could work with other automobile forms and models like compact cars, large vehicles, SUVs, and MPVs.

China's signature aesthetic is reflected in its design philosophy, emphasizing harmony between opposing elements ("hard and soft, round and angular"). The "Tengyou" phrase itself takes inspiration from the classic Chinese text, "Shi Gong Shi Fa" where humans and machinery work together.

The exterior features an all-new design approach, including seven 12-inch LED headlamps that dominate the front, accompanied by a contrasting colored car body. The tail lighting also follows similar pattern using seven 21.5 cm headlights spanning from both horizontal sides which is striking at first sight. The measurement of this red flag tengyou-08 consists of an external dimension of length width height which are 4925x1950x1680 millimeters and Axle distance of the same with measuring 3000.

It features a new interior with its own unique layout that has layers giving off a rich effect, including a big screen measuring 15.5 inch in size and Carplay compatible as well. Interior dimensions are all perfect to accommodate comfort and control over all functions. It also comes equipped with heat seat support that will keep passengers warm during the winter season, supported by cooling for summer.
