Beijing Modern Launches All-New Electric SUV Elexio

Beijing Modern, officially revealed details on their upcoming all-new electric SUV, Elexio, which is set to debut on May 7th. Prior to the launch, teasers have given us a glimpse into its design, showcasing an expansive and feature-rich body.

In regards to branding, it appears that Beijing Modern has opted for a distinct naming scheme, as their latest vehicle does not carry the "IONIQ" series moniker associated with previous models.

Based on earlier leaks, Elexio's exterior boasts a more-than-satisfying silhouette. The front fascia features prominent LED running lights set into a sleek and modern grille design. Additionally, a distinctive shape defines the rear section. Notably, future updates to Beijing Modern’s lineup will focus on launching new energy products at regular intervals.

A close look at Elexio reveals that it has been equipped with sleek door handles and a hidden side release mechanism. These are supported by a black roof rack in addition to several trim designs across its surface. Further inspection indicates the presence of charging points located on the passenger’s right-hand side as well front-facing cameras coupled with four mounted ultrasonic wave sensing systems.

The final details reveal that Beijing Modern's newest recruit, "Elexio", is set to begin pushing forward their strategic "New Capital 2.0" movement. With this new product set for release, they are officially setting a target of releasing at least two to three electric vehicles over the next few years, in an effort to create a full energy matrix spanning from compact cars to medium-sized passenger vans.

A representative from Beijing Modern has confirmed these plans going forward into 2024 beyond 2026.
