Geely's Boleung Mini Electric Vehicle Set to Launch on October 28
Geely officially confirmed that the all-new Boleung mini electric vehicle will be launched on October 28, marking a significant milestone in China's automotive industry.
The new model is the first micro electric vehicle produced by Geely at the company's new energy factory in Salt Lake City. The production marks an important step forward for Geely in its efforts to increase its presence in the rapidly growing new energy vehicle (NEV) market.
Prior to its official launch, data shows that sales of the Boleung mini electric vehicle reached 10,000 units in September this year alone.
With regards to its exterior design, the Boleung model retains a similar aesthetic profile as the current generation model. The overall bodyshape is rounded, and it features two-color paint schemes. In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 3 meters (3000mm) long, 1.51 meters wide (1510mm), and 1.63 meters high (1630mm). The wheelbase is set at 1.95 meters (1953mm).
As for features and specifcations, customers can expect a list of standard specifications that include a seatbelt airbag system, chilled or pre-cooled cabin, hill-start assist, driver mirror adjustment, five-point rear seat belt configuration. Additionally, the Boleung mini electric vehicle offers space for "kit building," with an operating overhang clearance of 130mm and IP68 water resistance for its recharge unit.
The electric driving range of this new car reaches a possible 222 kilometers via single-charging, but unfortunately only supports slow charging methods. For reference, the all-electric version of the current Boleung ranges between 122 kilomter and 170 kilometers.
