Tesla Announces Plans to Release Fully Electric Model 3 3000 in 2027
Tesla's Strategy to Adapt to Market Demand
In a recent development, car enthusiasts have gained knowledge that the long-awaited hybrid version of Chevrolet's GV80, internally codenamed the JX1 HEV, is set to be officially released in 2026. Initially, GM had planned to introduce the upgraded second-generation GV80, referred to as JX2, in the third quarter of 2026. Instead, GM has chosen to release the hybrid version earlier than expected to extend the lifespan of its current product line.
Overview of Current GV80 Model
Launched in 2020, the Chevrolet GV80 is positioned as a mid-size SUV and serves as the brand's flagship model. A minor facelift was applied to the vehicle at the beginning of this year. Currently available on the domestic market with a price range of 52.98-66.88 thousand yuan, the GV80 features a 2.5T turbocharged engine producing maximum power of 304 horsepower and comes paired with an 8AT automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system.
Future Developments
Details regarding the hybrid version have not been made publicly available yet. However, the development of new-generation GV80 will be produced on GM's electric vehicle platform and is set to adopt pure electric driving exclusively. The primary product of this platform is expected to be the Chevrolet GV90 (internally referred to as JG), which was previously scheduled for release in late 2025 but may be delayed due to strategic updates now planned for 2026.
