East Wind's New SUV to Make Debut in 2025
The Chinese automaker has been working on the new model for months, and now, we have our first glimpse at the production-ready vehicle. The new car, designated as S32, is built on a platform higher than its predecessor, the Nami01.
Technical Details
Production of the White Model, which is the S32 in disguise, concluded last September. The new SUV is expected to meet its sales target in the first half of 2025 and will be formally launched around that time. What's notable about this new model is that it deviates significantly from its Nami01 counterpart.
Design Features
Firstly, let's focus on the exterior design as there appears to be a change in direction for East Wind's designers. The car's front end boasts sharper LED lighting with a distinctive grill-like structure flanked by sealed-off windows. The airflow components are more angular in shape and positioned at the bottom section near the front and back ends of the body. Moreover, charging interfaces will be embedded on the lower section next to the front grille.
Internal Platform and Technology
The new model is built upon the East Wind Quantum Architecture 3rd Generation platform for its production base, which has proven efficient in past models. An all-electric motor unit supports power propulsion. Given these specifications, there are also plans to incorporate the non-torsion spring suspension system with transverse support elements.
Special Partnerships and Collaboration
Further development is on the cards for this new SUV via collaborations between East Wind and tech companies. The new electric SUV will be equipped with such cutting-edge technologies as smart parking features and enhanced navigation systems, set out by big automobile brands like Guangjian and so forth.
