Aion ET Unveiling: China's New Electric Vehicle Competitor?
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently unveiled the AEON UT, a compact electric vehicle set to challenge the likes of BYD Han in the Chinese market. With a price tag pegged at around 10,000 yuan, this new model marks Aeon's third globally-inspired vehicle.
According to official information, the new car boasts improvements in terms of space, safety features, and smart technologies. These upgrades are expected to enhance the overall driving experience for users.
Exterior Design
The AEON UT features a sleek front-end design with short overhanging fenders, giving it a distinctive look reminiscent of the Volkswagen ID.3. The vehicle's dual-tone exterior is sure to turn heads, while its large combination headlights draw inspiration from traditional designs, complete with LED lights and a distinctive internal layout.
Further along, clean and aerodynamic lines characterize the car's side profile, ensuring ample interior space while accommodating passengers and cargo. However, it becomes apparent that charging will occur through the driver door.
Size
The dimensions of this car reveal its spacious features: length 4270mm and width 1850mm with an overall height of 1575mm; a long wheelbase of 2750mm sets up these five seats comfortably. When compared to BYD Han and Volkswagen ID.3, the size provides better comfort conditions.
