BYD Introduces New 7-Seater SUV, the Tengzhend9 DM-i AWD

A new seven-seater vehicle has been listed in the latest version of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) directory. The Tengzhend9DM-iAWD is powered by fifth-generation Drive-by-Wire (DBW) technology and features an optional laser radar system.

The exterior design maintains consistency with its predecessor, while a new "BYD DM-i AWD" logo has been added to the rear tail indicator. The dimensions of the new car are as follows: length 5250mm, width 1960mm, height 1900mm, and wheelbase 3110mm. It's worth noting that the Tengzhend9 can be fitted with an optional laser radar system and a unique "eye" logo on its rear tailplate.

Matters of power source will see the vehicle adopting fifth-generation DBW technology, powered by the 1.5-liter engine model BYD472ZQB alongside an e-Battery plug-in hybrid electric system. Maximum driving force comes in at 115 kW and top speed up to 190 km/h. Battery capacity has been increased with a 39.938 kWh battery pack and total electric range ranging from 145 km to 155 km, while fuel efficiency varies between seven liters per 100 kilometers and six point two five liters per 100 kilometers.
