Volvo Announces the Launch of the ES90 and S90, Scheduled for March 5th

Volvo will officially unveil its latest electric vehicles, the ES90 and S90, on March 5th, 2024. The two models leverage Volvo's SPA2 architecture, positioning them as flagship-level pure-electric sedans.

Both cars are set to embody the brand's commitment to software-defined automobiles, boasting strong computing capabilities that represent a significant leap in Volvo's history. In addition, Volvo's gasoline families are expected to undergo revitalization by 2025, with the new S90 serving as the fuel-powered flagship sedan alongside the ES90.

Volvo ES90 Packed with Intelligent Hardware and Capabilities

The Volvo ES90 features an array of advanced sensors that form its brain – including a laser radar system, five rear-view cameras, eight surround-view cameras, and twelve ultrasonic distance measurement sensors. The driving module is powered by a neuromorphic computer chip known as Double-英伟达Drive AGX Orin. This gives Volvo ES90 the power to perceive 508 TOPS.

Longitudinal Design and Luxurious Feel

Both cars, Volvo ES90 and S90, boast long body lengths, emphasizing an impressive level of stability while providing a clear silhouette that truly embodies what one can define as the "administerial car." Its overall stance aims to reflect what's expected from vehicles at such a high executive level. On top of this, it is anticipated that Volvo ES 90 incorporates core design philosophies originally conceived by S90.

Enhanced Visual Identification

The Volvo ES90 boasts a distinctive LED light system inspired by the Thor's Hammer design and employs an updated mirror layout with vertical horizontal bars set in front of side windows for better visibility. At the rear end, an oblique structure appears where previously there was only one vertical bar.

Charging System Power

Electric driving should remain unchanged for most power levels as part of standard S90 upgrades.
