Meet Xiaomi's Latest Game-Changer: The MKLX Plus SUV, Embracing Spaciousness and Ditching its Sporty Vibe

Xiaomi's Future Plans Revealed: Development of All-New SUV Lineup

A recent leak on social media has revealed images of a Mi SUV with the codename " Kunlun", which is expected to be launched after the YU7 model. According to plans, the YU7 will hit the market in 2025, while the all-new SUV lineup is slated for release in 2026.

The newly unveiled vehicle boasts an impressive exterior size, significantly larger than its predecessor YU7. When it comes to design, Mi aims for space and practicality, showcasing rectangular lines that reflect this focus. It's worth noting that the headlights are engineered with an angular cutaway effect.

Up front, a laser radar is mounted on top of the dashboard headlight. The car is equipped with advanced technologies that contribute to better safety.

Moving to the interior arrangement, Mi has opted for three rows of seating; space wise it is more accommodating than any previously offered models here. This suggests a greater use of potential emptying potential by using cleverly placed features like seats below the windshield

Behind the wheel, however - especially considering that it had longer overhang on the body, Mi has added four doors at back and larger back windows for better visibility.

Based off initial schematics leaked elsewhere recently, this is expected to sport an all-new drive system. But that drive train is not designed as we know from our last models -- in part aimed at offering a much more practical use case rather than one driven by speed

A key detail that Mi is considering giving up on the angular style that so prominently featured with previous models, this change allows for better rear view visibility.
