Ideal L6, L7, L8, and L9 Upgrade to Smart Xpansion Edition Announced
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently released the specifications for the latest smart Xpansion edition vehicles Ideal L series. The new upgrade primarily focuses on upgrading the intelligent hardware and software systems, with all models expected to go on sale in May.
Compared to the previous generation Ideal L series cars, the Smart Xpersion edition reduces some of its features and options.
Key Features
The new Smart Xprespion edition vehicles feature a more compact full-face laser radare and gold-colored stripes and new wheel designs. In terms of hardware capabilities, two models will be upgraded:
- AD Max will upgrade its chip from the latest Elva Dual-Orin-X processor to single Thor U processor, while also featuring an end-to-end + VLM large model and new powerful VA Large Model (VLA). This advanced model integrates visual language model and action model.
- AD Pro vehicle will upgrade from the Elva J5 to L6M chip and increase the full-coverage light radar.
The driving systems of Smart Xprespion version are similar to previous generation models, which apply four new powerful energy sources in whole of Ideal L series, so all ideal cars come with 1.5T twin-scroll variable exhaust turbine compressor as fuel.
In addition, there is also an updated battery range for each model:
- Ideal L6: 300 kW
- Ideal L7: 330 kW
- Ideal L8: 330 kW
- Ideal L9: 330 kW
The pure electric driving distance of different models are as follows:
