Ford Reports Fiscal Third Quarter Earnings, Third Consecutive Quarter of Double-Digit Sales Growth
Ford Motor Company has announced its fiscal third quarter earnings, with the company's third quarter operating revenue reaching $46 billion (approximately RMB 32.8 billion), an increase of nearly double-digit from the same period last year.
Adjusted for non-recurring expenses and taxes, Ford reported a net profit of $250 million (approximately RMB 1.8 billion) before interest charges. Operating cash flow was $550 million (approximately RMB 3.9 billion), marking the tenth consecutive quarter of sales growth in this area.
In terms of individual product lines, the company's F-Series truck segment reported operating revenue of $26.2 billion (approximately RMB 1.87 billion) for the third quarter, representing a 3% year-over-year gain. Hybrid vehicle sales grew by 30%, marking up to what is expected the first part of the full-year target of 9% market share.
The Ford Pro Commercial segment reported operating revenue of $15.7 billion (approximately RMB 1.12 billion) for the third quarter, representing a 13% year-over-year gain. On the other hand, electric vehicle costs decreased to $5 million by 5% in comparison with previous years.
Looking ahead to fiscal fourth quarters and full-years, Ford is expecting adjusted pre-tax earnings of approximately $100 million (approximately RMB 0.713 billion) and a range of $75 to $85 billion in adjusted free cash flow (approximately RMB 535-606 billion).
