Is This the Future of EVs? Does ID.3 Hit the Right Notes?

Volkswagen ID.3 Receives Minor Facelift in Latest Model

A recent update at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has brought with it new images of the Volkswagen ID.3, revealing minor tweaks to the vehicle's exterior design while keeping its driving dynamics intact.

The updated features include improved front bumper styling, adopting a minimalist and sporty aesthetic currently popular on other cars. Side panels have also been revamped, with new window frames featuring a blackened finish and fresh wheel designs that enhance visual appeal. In terms of dimensions, the ID.3 measures 4261mm (4466) in length, 1778mm in width, and 1568mm in height, while its axle length stands at 2765mm.

A key change can be seen in the rear end, where the earlier plastic bumper has been replaced by a newly finished metal panel. This update does little to alter the vehicle's overall appearance but marks an effort towards refinement and modernity.

The driving dynamics of the ID.3 have remained unchanged despite these external modifications. Its power output of 125 kW is matched by its highest speed, capping at 160 km/h. The electric-only range under CLTC conditions stands at around 450 km in certain usage scenarios before reaching an estimated range of approximately 451 kilometers.
