Buick GL8 Landmark Facelift Announced, Key Features Revealed
The facelifted Buick GL8 Lander has officially been launched, and it will be upgraded with the company's "Dragon" plug-in hybrid powertrain system. The updated model is positioned lower than the previous GL8 Lander and GL8 Century, with a price point starting from around 30 million yuan.
Production of the new vehicle is expected to commence soon, with an anticipated launch date in the first half of this year and delivery scheduled shortly thereafter.
Design and Features
The facelifted GL8 Landmark retains its distinctive "Jaw-Dropping" grille design, while adopting a more streamlined look overall with a family resemblance to its GL8 Lander and GL8 Century siblings. The front-end headlights have been redesigned with a flat face, complemented by LED fog lamp decor, effectively conveying a stylish appearance.
The side profile of the new vehicle exudes minimalism in its sleek design, combined with alloy wheels sporting a distinct double-rimmed pattern. The dimensions of the vehicle measure 5219/1878/1807mm and have an axle length of 3088mm.
When illuminated, the rear lights showcase impressive visual appeal, featuring a central emblem bearing the "BUICK" English text. Overall, its craftsmanship exhibits exceptional precision.
Powertrain and Performance
The GL8 Landmark will come equipped with Buick's "Dragon" plug-in hybrid powertrain system throughout its range, boasting a 1.5L T engine that delivers an impressive maximum output of 132 kW. The vehicle boasts an electric driving range of up to 111 km in battery-only mode.
