China's Coolest Data: Where Winter Meets the Warmest Energy Efficiency!

GAC Group's New Energy Vehicle, the JiLiang Xun2025 Up, Passes Winters' Harsh Test

The latest winter test for GAC Group's new energy vehicle, the JiLiang Xun 2025 Up, has been revealed to have showcased an impressive performance in areas of concern for consumers such as range, efficiency, and fast-charging capabilities.

Winter Scene

Within the scope of this testing event that covered both extremely low temperature zones and cold regions two main high-frequency winter scenarios were simulated, allowing users to test new energy vehicles' capabilities in cold weather conditions. This evaluation combined comfort and reliability.

During tests, the vehicle was equipped with a 40.16 kWh lithium battery, a single electric motor configuration. The official range estimate at CLTC (China Limits Testing Cycle) was 410km.

Cold Scenario

In this winter cold test test route of the vehicle in Jilin Chenbahe Flag went from -20 to -15 °C temperatures and faced double round journey with 50% of high-speed road sections, as well as road sections. The total distance of the highway and low-speed roads was about 400 km.

  • Range Testing

During pure electric range testing in extremely cold conditions, JiLiang Xun Up achieved a range of 189.9km out of 410km. In general, the vehicle's range and performance with this type of configuration. The electric car maintained 46.3% efficiency rate during the overall driving scenario.

  • Electricity Consumption

During extremely low temperatures, JiLiang Xun Up exhibited a balanced consumption ratio based on heat management techniques, resulting in an average energy consumption amounting to 23.68 kWh/100km.

Fast Charging

Test results also indicate that within the cold weather environment, there has been significant growth in charging efficiency of this vehicle in testing periods. Our test tests were conducted using "cold car" fast charging methods, during which full range of 410 km was covered in a charging time of approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes, where the most intensive phase had a power consumption rate of over 60 kW.

After reviewing our performance results for testing with JiLiang Up in cold weather conditions, tests showed that, JiLiang Xun will maintain stable temperature at 25°C inside during long-distance driving with advanced air conditioning control. It would be comfortable and quiet within the cabin during long driving hours or extended periods, while a comprehensive comfort guarantee to provide an enjoyable experience and ensure a high-quality of travel.

Thermal Comfort

The tests demonstrated that once JiLiang Xun's interior temperature was adjusted (to -12.8°C at first), its interior could be rapidly brought up (to 22.5°C) from the cold air in short time of 20 minutes, even under maximum speed or when driving uphill to ensure a comfortable temperature range.

Low Temperature Scenario

In this scenario during the test the JiLiang Xun Up was run for 400 distance in an extremely low-temperature environment (-5 to +15 °C). The electric vehicle exceeded expectations and displayed strong all-around performance, with pure electric distances of up to 356.8 kilometers at an average efficiency rate of 87%.

Within this area of the test route JiLiang Xun Up's battery was replenished a total amount of 42.63 kWh from the beginning but only a low consumption ratio after a complete driving, that equates for 11.95kWh/100km.

Fast Charging

  • The time taken to charge up the capacity with fast car charger in extremely low temperature environment will be about half an hour.

Overall the latest JiLiang Xun Up performance analysis shows good ability under "extreme winter testing," maintaining reliability, safety and comfort.
