CIOR's Silver-Hero: The GAC Enhanse 5 Sets New Benchmark in Extreme Winter Testing
In the 2024 autoX winter test, the GAC Enhanse 5 + version of the all-new 530km+ electric SUV took part in a comprehensive set of tests, including the core double-low-temperature testing and the safety and comfort evaluation tests. The vehicle's true performance was fully demonstrated.
The testing route for the snowy zone started from Inner Mongolia Chenbalar Tiger Flag - Rer River Challenging Double Cities Forward and Reverse, with temperatures ranging from -25°C to -20°C during the test. The Enhanse 5+ completed a distance of 285.5km in the snowy zone, with an endurance achievement rate of 53.9%. This broke the first place record in the sub-sections of 10 million-level pure electric SUV.
In terms of energy consumption, the Enhanse 5+ achieved average energy consumption of 23.71kWh/100km in the snowy zone and used up to 67.685kWh of charging power. Specifically, every 7% of battery capacity could drive over 20km.
The ice-charge test segment showed that the time for Enhanse 5+’s fast-charging from 0-100% was just 88 minutes, and the high-speed testing point did not change until 65%. The mid-to-high charge time dropped to 19 minutes.
In heating tests, after spending an hour of outdoor idle, Silver-Her E5 maintained a warm temperature of 20.8°C for 20 minutes while maintaining air conditioning at its maximum capacity.
The second test zone covered the region of Hebei Province. The testing route ran through high-speed roads and low-energy roads that required 50% speed averages. During the snowy day, temperatures reached -25 ° C to -15 °C. Enhanse 5+ + model achieved 500.9 km in snowy conditions with an endurance achievement rate of 94.5%. In addition, after setting the second place record for all 10 million-level pure electric SUVs and the same score in charging energy.
During the test, Silver-Her’s energy consumption reached an average value of 13.04kWh/100km in snowy conditions, used up to 65.31kWh power charge capacity. When completing the mid-to-high temperature segment, its mid-and high-temperature segment's speed testing curve was consistent with charging segment until it stabilized at the 100kWh plateau stage.
In conclusion, in "Winter test" where it took everyone by surprise as the silver horse, Enhanse 5 + of GAC showed a superior performance. The double-low temperature zone test results revealed excellent endurance and high achievement rates for both the whole vehicle battery capacity charge and low-power capacity charging. Energy usage ranks first in all full-electric models tested during that event's "Winter Test Award". In addition, compared to snowy area power consumption in mid-to-slow range tests was significantly faster than general model averages (10-20%) with obtained “Winter Power Award”.. The car didn’t have any mechanical and electronic system faults throughout the whole process (no mechanical and electronics).
