Electric Lorry EANUT Unveiled: China's Latest Strategic Vehicle
A sleek, all-electric two-axle van has been spotted on the latest Industrial and Information Technology Ministry (工信部) directory in China. The EANUT is not only a small, pure electric vehicle but also the third global strategic car of the company, EA auto.
According to initial reports, the new vehicle is slated for pre-sale starting January 2025, with a rumored price range around $10,000 (US dollars). It is expected to go on sale in February 2025 after its pre-sale period.
Design and Features
From a design perspective, the EANUT showcases EA auto's new global style. The front features sharp-looking LED headlights, while the side is equipped with LED daytime running lights. Additionally, interior lamps also boast full-size LED lighting.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4270mm (length), 1850mm (width), and 1575mm (height). Its turning radius stands at 2750MM. The tail end sports a simple design; meanwhile, it is paired with an integrated LED grid.
Engine Performance
Powering the EANUT is a high-performance EV powertrain consisting of a drive electric motor capable of delivering 100 kilowatts of power and reaching speeds of up to 150km/h (about 93 miles per hour). The rear axle is equipped with a phosphoric iron lithium battery from the company, Tyyp electricity.
