Xiaomi's Latest SUV, YU7 Single Motor Edition, Hits the Market
Xiaomi has recently released its latest single-motor edition of the YU7 SUV from its product catalog. This new model is positioned as a large SUV with a single electric motor drive system, leading to lower prices compared to its quad-motor counterpart that was released last month.
The exterior design of the single-motor version and the dual-engine variant remain consistent, with a laser radar setup visible on the roof. The vehicle's front end showcases Xiaomi's "family style" design language, featuring bullet-shaped headlights in conjunction with multiple prismatic lenses to create an imposing dual-eyed appearance. The sides continue to boast large-sized air intakes that have become a hallmark of the SU7, including "small fangs"-type designs complemented by ducts on both sides to enhance the dynamic vibe.
The rear continues Xiaomi's family style theme, forming a distinctive "V" shape at a distance, making it easily recognizable. The sides maintain the SUV7's design language while paired with the roof's disturbance board to further amplify movement impressions. Measuring 4999 x 1996 x 1608 mm in length width and height respectively, along with an axle length of 3000mm and an additional 8mm compared to its dual-motor counterpart.
The power aspect of this new vehicle follows the same single motor drive system, with a peak output of 235 kW and a maximum speed of 240 km/h accompanied by iron phosphate lithium batteries within. Additionally, the vehicle's total loading weight comes down from 2405 kg to just 2315 kg following improvements compared to its dual-motor variant, bringing about considerable cost savings while retaining its robustness.
