AION AION UT Electric Vehicle Launched in Wuhan Factory, Set to Hit the Market on February 28
In a significant move, Aion E-Solutions (GZ) Co., Ltd. officially launched its latest electric vehicle, the AION UT, at its smart manufacturing base in Wuhan, China. The company plans to put the car into production and make it available for sale on February 28.
The AION UT is a compact pure-electric vehicle, marking Aion's third globally launched model. Prior to its launch, the manufacturer announced that the new car would go on sale at a starting price of $698-$1,098 yuan, with an additional 99 yuan discount on down payments of over 10,000 yuan.
Aion's smart manufacturing base boasts cutting-edge technologies such as AI-powered manufacturing, innovative production processes, and environmentally friendly solutions. The factory features advanced systems like the 'Visual AI Application,' 3D Visualization System,' and a globally first Laser Screw-Welding Technology process.
The production line also utilizes high-tech capabilities, including automated paint lines and the ability to complete a car's body in just 53 seconds. AION UT's dimensions include length of 4270mm, width of 1850mm, height of 1575mm, with an overall wheelbase measuring 2750mm.
The car offers various options for customization, including 16-inch wheels on lower trim levels and 17-inch wheels on higher-end trims. Exterior colors range from a classic 'Rose Red' to six other vibrant hues.
On the interior, refined design features abound throughout the vehicle. Aion has incorporated modern design elements across its entire lineup of vehicles, each equipped with cutting-edge audio-tech systems, supported by state-of-the-art software integrations and including support for major automotive manufacturers’ popular brand interfaces (HiCar, CarLink, CarPlay).
Key specs include a driving motor delivering up to 100 kilowatts of power, reaching speeds in excess of 150 km/h per hour. The vehicle's battery, supporting both fast charged charging and long-term use on roads.
