Scoda Elroq electric SUV blasts 100mph in just 6 seconds: Electric Performance Previewed

Skoda Unveils Elroq vRS, a High-Performance Variant of its Electric Compact SUV

Skoda has released an official teaser image for the Elroq vRS, a performance-oriented version of its electric compact SUV Elroq. The new model is scheduled to debut at the upcoming Milan Design Week on April 3rd.

The Elroq vRS boasts impressive acceleration capabilities, with a 0-100km/h time of just under six seconds. It marks a significant increase in power over the standard version, producing 327 horsepower (240 kW), an 41-megawatt jump from its base electric variant.

In terms of design, while there has been little visible difference between this teaser image and that of the Elroq, the vRS model is expected to retain many of its counterpart's signature visual cues. This includes the continuation of its streak-style daytime running lights and noticeable differences in styling around the bumper area, which may feature upgraded vents or other design elements characteristic of Skoda's vRS line.

The electric powertrain used by the Elroq remains consistent across most models, offering a range of up to 560 km under normal WLTP test conditions. However, it is worth noting that this performance and other features are not exhaustive.

Overall, the introduction of the Elroq vRS sets further context for Skoda's electric ambitions in its market position as well as marking out a different set of standards when considering it against its more conventional lineup.
