Daimler Recalls Over 2 Million Cars in Jiangsu Province

Suzhou Yueda Auto Announces Recalls of Certain Vehicles Due to Safety Concerns

We have obtained confirmation from Suzhou Yueda Auto Ltd. that they have submitted a recall plan to the National Market Supervision Administration, as per China's Defective Vehicle Product Recall Regulation and Guidelines.

As part of this recall, the following vehicles will be affected:

2014 Chevrolet Spark

Recall number: 2025-02-10 Production dates: July 8, 2010 - August 20, 2014 Quantity: 21,797 units

2012 Kia K5

Recall number: 2025-02-10 Production dates: January 5, 2011 - September 29, 2015 Quantity: 18,141 units

Issue explanation: There have been instances where the brake fluid control module (HECU) inside these vehicles may short circuit internally. This can lead to a fire in extreme cases and pose a safety risk.

Corrective action: Suzhou Yueda Auto will provide free upgrades of insulation wires and covers at no cost to affected customers to ensure the vehicle is safe.

2024 Hyundai Kona EV5

Recall number: 2025-02-10 Production dates: October 25, 2023 - September 12, 2024 Quantity: 1,653 units

Issue explanation: There have been issues with the comprehensive electronic control system (IEB) that cause the vehicle to fail to instantly stop during remote smart parking assist when deactivating it, posing a safety risk.

Corrective action: For vehicles affected, Suzhou Yueda Auto will upgrade IEB control program for free on recall to eliminate any potential risks.

2024 Hyundai Kona EV6

Recall number: 2025-02-10 Production dates: June 12, 2023 - January 24, 2024 Quantity: 252 units

Issue explanation: Due to issues with the integrated charging control module (ICCU), which result in component failure leading to inability of the vehicle to charge using the 12V battery after being driven beyond certain speed, a safety concern arises if warning lights appear.

Corrective action: Suzhou Yueda will check and update ICCU software for free on these affected vehicles; also, provide new module should an issue persist.
