Jeep's Longest Vehicles to Hit the Market on April 18th
Jeep is set to launch two of its longest vehicles, the Wrangler Traveler and Mountain Hawk T2, on April 18th. These extended versions will feature a 7-seater configuration and offer an increased useable space for passengers.
Jeep Wrangler Traveler Extended
The Wrangler Traveler Extended and the Mountain Hawk T2 Extended will share the same exterior design as their shorter counterparts, maintaining the rugged classic aesthetic that Jeep is known for.
One notable change will be in the rear section, with a larger cargo area that has been added for increased practicality. A "large trunk" has also been integrated into the design, offering improved fluid lines and a smoother transition from one to another. The side and rear sections have seen a significant boost in size by 249mm, giving these new vehicles a more imposing presence on the road.
Design wise the exterior of the car will carry over well while the increased space means a whole lot more "space" for your gear in the long journey.
The mountain Hawk is quite clearly aimed at what's essentially outdoor people who are now able to venture into terrain that was previously inaccessible. They've hit a nerve: who doesn't need that extra bit of space and power on the road? This too seems set to become an early fan favourite due simply having this extra "space" inside.
The interior features remain unchanged, a testament to the brand's focus on creating a comfortable user experience for passengers. The support provided will indeed be welcomed in long situations with proper grips at doors, instruments and Apillar and roof are placed strategically throughout the vehicle for added sense of safety while driving. Once seated, access to infotainment is through CarPlay or HuaWee HiCar interface; both familiar options as they also use Apple CarPlay system. Seat arrangement will come in 2+3+2 layout.
In terms of performance, fans of these particular Jeep variants know exactly what to expect since powertrain remains unchanged. The Wrangler Traveler has a 2.0T engine producing maximum 254 horsepower and peak torque at 390 Nm followed by a seven-speed wet dual automatic clutch gearbox coupled with Haldex four-wheel drive. On the other hand Mountain Hawk T2 will feature CRV's most efficient option mixed with dual & three speed gearboxes, offering one of its most compelling features that fans have been seeking: A real XWD setup using power for both front and rear axles alongwith a three-speed transfer case.
