Nisshinbo Recalls 542 Chinese Imported Cars Due to Software Issues
The Recall Plan
Nisshinbo Automobile Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall plan to the National Market Supervision Administration, as per the Regulations on Handling Defective Automobile Products for Return and the Implementing Measures of the Regulations. A total of 542 imported Nisshinbo GV60, G80, and GV70 automobiles will be recalled.
The Recall Batches
The following vehicles will be included in the recall:
- Nisshinbo GV60
- Nisshinbo G80
- Nisshinbo GV70
These cars were produced between August 11th, 2021 and July 10th, 2024.
Reason for the Recall
The recall is due to issues with the integrated charging control module (ICCU) software. This may cause damage to internal components, resulting in an inability to perform 12V charging and slow vehicle speeds as well as a loss of power after a prolonged period, posing serious safety risks.
Solution Measures
Nisshinbo Automobile Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd will inspect the ICCU for defects. Users affected by the recall will receive updates:
- Free software upgrade if no faulty codes are detected
- Replacement of new ICCU and insulation cable if faulty codes are detected to eliminate safety hazards.
