New Toyota RAV4 Revealed: Electric and Redesigned

Future Toyota RAV4 Rugged Shows Off Teaser Shots

The latest teaser shots of the upcoming Toyota RAV4 Rugged have been released, providing a glimpse into what this new generation of SUV has in store for car enthusiasts. According to insiders, the new model will debut as the sixth-generation RAV4 and is expected to retain its TNGA-K platform production while introducing more powertrain options.

Besides retaining its existing hybrid, fuel-efficient, and plug-in-hybrid versions, the new RAV4 Rugged may also bring an all-electric variant to the table. It remains to be seen when this model will hit the North American market; however, we can confirm that it will first make its appearance on US shores.

The upcoming Toyota RAV4 Rugged seems to be heavily cloaked by heavy stickers but can still manage to reveal something of its family-designed layout. The LED daytime headlights share similarities with the 2022 Lexus RX450h, while its taillights have a mesh-patterned design.

One notable detail from these teaser shots is that it appears both the front and rear bumper features the same trapezoidal shape as the current RAV4, making way for a possible modernized look on the model.

According to the manufacturer, there are currently several powertrain options under the hood of this upcoming fifth generation. Furthermore, in addition to its hybrid capabilities, the new RAV4 is anticipated to come at least one 100% electric variant, further increasing its appeal among environmentally-conscious buyers.

We will keep a close eye on all updates regarding this car's release and specifications.
