Toyota Unveils Plans for New Electric SUVs and Pickup Trucks, to Be Released in 2026

Toysota, just days after releasing its FT-Me Concept, C-HR+ EV concept car, and new bZ4X model, further announced three new electric vehicles slated for release in 2026. According to leaked renderings depicting the upcoming cars, the trio consists of two Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and one pickup truck.

The speculated models that make up this electric line-up include the Land Cruiser Se lease-badged variant, an Electric Portable Unit (EPU) lease-badged variant, and a forthcoming hybrid version called FT-3e. The first concept to be debuted previously at 2023 Tokyo Motor Show is expected from release in late 2026.

Toyota's Land Cruiser Se features a three-row seating capacity and dimensions of 5150mm long by 3050mm wide, along with integration of the new generation Toyota column cells (Y-cell), anticipated giving Toyota cars an estimated range of approximately 966 kilometres (605 miles).

The next concept to be unveiled is Toyota EPU, a fully electric body-on-frame mid-size pickup truck. The dimensions for this model measure 5070 mm long by 1910 mm wide and are measured at 3350 mm over all - further set against Toyota's upcoming battery architecture. Additionally designed with sleek yet fashionable line aesthetics at the rear and a clean silhouette as well as, advanced technology features including two floating display panels designed in criss cross patterns to sit beside half width steering wheel.

Toyota also plans on detailing the new electrical capabilities of its FT-3e pickup concept model by incorporating what appears as the next generation Toyota bZ brand. The forthcoming release promises both design insights into upcoming electric cars plus cutting-edge features that will enhance user experience such including AI based vocal recognition, advanced operation technology.
